Inrelex Overview

Inrelex Law Group, PLLC is a law firm founded by four attorneys, each of whom is innovative and entrepreneurial, which forms the basis for the firm. The common thread among the members is their estate planning practice, complemented by their differing backgrounds and the focus of their practices. Estate planning is considered the most varied legal "practice area", touching almost every other area of the law, especially when representing owners of closely held businesses. The firm name was derived from the variety of the attorneys’ backgrounds and their practices – In re: Lex – or "With reference to the law".

Steven M. Goldetsky started as in-house corporate counsel – for a NYSE Company. To satisfy his entrepreneurial spirit, Steve established his own law practice in 1993. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, real estate, employee benefits and as counsel to owners of closely held businesses. Steve is instrumental in assisting clients with the successful accumulation, preservation and transfer of wealth, as well as the important role of employee retention though his employee benefits practice. He is extremely generous with his time serving law students at his alma mater, William Mitchell College of Law (from which he graduated cum laude), by serving in its Mentor Program, Mock Interview Program and participates in its Small Law Firm Discussion Panel. He also volunteers as a Law Day Speaker at Twin Cities high schools, is a participant in the Hennepin County Speakers Bureau and taught graduate level business organizations law at the Minnesota Paralegal Institute.

Robert G. Danielsen also is a product of the financial services industry, where he served as Vice President and General Counsel for a large financial services company, where he developed his special interest in insurance strategies and analysis. His activities have included developing computer models for the evaluation of life insurance products and strategies. His insurance background led him to work with product liability companies and forming offshore captive insurance companies for client risk management. This further developed into offshore banking, insurance and accounting relationships that later morphed into a sophisticated asset protection planning niche practice. Never leaving his financial modeling behind him, he is also the founder and CEO of Financial Logic, LLC that provides tax-sensitive financial simulations for clients and their advisors of numerous professions. He summarizes his practice as concentrating in "tax and asset protection planning".

E. Burke Hinds has roots in the early 1980s KPMG tax practice. Since then, Burke has built an estate planning practice representing extremely successful entrepreneurs (including basements and garages to $100+ million values and IPOs) in a wide variety of industries, including banking, manufacturing, real estate development, services, importing and distribution. Burke’s membership in Inrelex is through Hindsight Family Business Solutions, PLLC formed to reflect the consulting services he provides along with legal advice to clients regarding sophisticated business succession and estate planning. He has a rare combination of knowledge and experience in legal, financial, tax, business, investment and family relationship issues involved in advising and planning for business owners with significant wealth. He is also known as an entertaining and effective speaker and has given presentations from Florida to Hawaii and Texas to Minnesota including tax conferences, trade associations and training for CPA and financial services firms.

Eric J. Skonnord shares a similar independent streak and joined a 2- person firm early in his legal career, choosing to independently build his own practice rather than be fed work by other attorneys in a larger firm. Eric’s practice is concentrated in business and estate planning but he also spends a significant portion of his time in estate administration and conservatorships for minors and the incapacitated. Eric is a co-instructor with Burke teaching Wealth Transfer Planning (Estate Planning) at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.
